Renovation of the Dormitory 1 Cafeteria

Incheon National University (INU), led by President Injae Lee, announced that improvements to the First Dormitory Cafeteria were completed during the vacation period to provide students with a more comfortable dining environment.

The project was carried out to improve the facilities of the dormitory cafeteria, which has been in operation since its completion in 2009, and to create a more comfortable space for students.

Incheon National University carried out the work in stages to reduce inconvenience to students. In November 2025, the university replaced furniture and fixtures to improve the cafeteria’s interior. In August 2026, additional work involving the interior, electrical systems, lighting, and flooring was completed, concluding the overall project.

“The dormitory cafeteria is used every day by many students, including dormitory residents, and students have expressed interest in improvements to the facilities,” said Hongjun Lee, Director of Welfare and Communications at the Student Council. “We are pleased that the improvements have made the cafeteria brighter and more comfortable for students during meal times.”

“Improvements to spaces that students use every day can help create a better campus environment,” said Youngsoo Lee, Dean of Student Affairs and Career Development at INU. “We hope the improved dormitory cafeteria will provide students with a comfortable space for meals and relaxation. We will continue to listen to students’ feedback when reviewing improvements to campus facilities and student services.”
