  The purpose of this course is to enable students to acquire comprehensive knowledge of Official Development Assestance(ODA). Students will study the theories and practices of ODA. This is relatively new area of scholarly investigation. Accordingly, we will explore works of both academic research and practices. The course is organized into four sections: The first section reviews the historical background, definition and the current situation of Development as well as ODA. The second section explores case studies of ODA. The third section deals with the policy of the Korean government towards ODA. The final section investigates the new approach towards ODA.
